A little time. A little Prague.
Prague,
after meetings.
From Pankrác to the river
A Czech meal. A good beer. A little Prague
Staying at Panorama Hotel in Pankrác? You do not need a full day to enjoy the city. Take public transport into the centre, settle into a Czech pub, and leave time for a short walk before heading back.
The hotel's current website uses Panorama by Verdi Hotels. Keep your booking address handy when searching for it in maps or planning the return journey.
This guide is for an unhurried three or four hours: proper food, thoughtful gifts, and a few memorable views. Choose one neighbourhood rather than trying to see everything.

Czechia in a minute
Prague is the capital of Czechia, also known as the Czech Republic. The currency is the Czech koruna: CZK, written locally as Kč. Pay in koruna rather than relying on a shop's euro conversion. Czech is the local language; English is commonly used in central tourist areas, but not everywhere.
A simple Dobrý den (hello) and Děkuji (thank you) are always a good start.
